Accident Investigation Board

The Danish Accident Investigation Board (AIB) is an independent institution under the Ministry of Transport.

The fundamental purpose of the AIB is to investigate accidents and serious incidents involving civilian Aircraft's and railway's in order to prevent these by determination of circumstances and causes.
The AIB does not apportion blame or liability.

The AIB investigates accidents and serious incidents with civilian aircrafts in Denmark including Greenland and the Faero Islands.

The AIB also represents Kingdom of Denmark in foreign states investigations into aircraft accidents involving Danish registered aircraft.

All reportable accidents or serious incidents involving civilian Aircraft's are required to be notified to the AIB's inspector on duty (24 hrs) by phone +45 3871 1066.
